Quality Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: West Haven, United States; onsite at a manufacturing facility

Salary: $81,470–$122,206 base salary per year, plus a performance-related bonus plan

What you will do

• Work with Manufacturing and Operations to investigate quality issues, analyze trends, and identify process improvements.
• Lead or support root cause analysis, risk reduction, Poka-Yoke, and sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
• Support customer complaint investigations, OCAP activities, quality data analysis, corrective-action tracking, and investigation reports.
• Create and update SOPs and work instructions aligned with QMS, ISO/IATF, and customer-specific requirements.
• Plan and perform internal quality systems audits and support customer and third-party surveillance audits.
• Develop and report quality KPIs, connect 8-D and corrective actions with FMEAs, and recommend process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, or a related technical role in manufacturing or a high-tech environment.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001.
• Experience with or willingness to learn lab software, Microsoft Office, Minitab, JDE, and quality management systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with senior quality staff and cross-functional teams.
