What you will do

• Manage day-to-day operations, performance tuning, and capacity planning for cloud and on-prem databases.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform for resource management.
• Automate routine DBA tasks and application deployments using Python and Google Cloud CLI.
• Ensure data integrity through robust backup, recovery, and high availability strategies.
• Collaborate with application teams to diagnose issues and resolve database-related incidents.
• Maintain security compliance by managing roles, permissions, and access policies.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen due to contractual and access requirements.
• 3-5+ years of experience in Information Technology or Database Administration.
• Solid understanding of GCP managed database services including Cloud SQL, Spanner, and AlloyDB.
• Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code and Git for version control.
• Experience with Python programming and deploying applications on Cloud Run.
• Foundational knowledge of on-prem Microsoft SQL Server.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI tools such as Gemini, Claude, or Copilot for database tasks.
• Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Familiarity with SolarWinds DPA and MySQL on Linux.
• Vendor DBA certifications.
