What you will do

• Lead database migrations to AWS managed services, including Amazon RDS for SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Design and implement cloud-native database architectures focused on scalability, availability, security, and performance.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code standards using Terraform and integrate database provisioning into CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute enterprise migrations using AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) and Schema Conversion Tool (SCT).
• Establish database monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery standards using AWS-native tools.
• Mentor DBA team members and partner with engineering teams to define modernization roadmaps.

Requirements

• 10+ years of database administration experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing AWS cloud database environments.
• Deep expertise with Amazon RDS for SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Strong experience with Terraform for cloud infrastructure automation.
• Proven experience leading enterprise database migrations and modernization initiatives.
• Must be based in the United States.
