What you will do

• Administer and support open-source database platforms including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and Amazon Aurora.
• Ensure performance, availability, and scalability of production databases in a cloud-first environment.
• Implement replication and data movement solutions using Tungsten Replicator and AWS DMS.
• Develop automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage database security, user access, and network configurations across hybrid cloud environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize database design and drive measurable cost efficiency.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in database administration focusing on open-source technologies.
• Strong expertise with MySQL 8.0, PostgreSQL 17, MariaDB 10.6, and Amazon Aurora.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including RDS, EC2, and Redshift.
• Proficiency in Linux OS, shell scripting, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Experience with high availability architectures, failover strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
• Ability to leverage AI tools and prompt engineering to enhance database operations and productivity.
