Critical Projects Lead

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of hire and must not require employer sponsorship for a work visa.

Base salary: CAD 110,000–145,000 per year, depending on experience and geographic location.

What you will do

• Own one or two critical cross-functional projects from ideation through hand-off to the business.
• Define project scopes, objectives, success metrics, timelines, and delivery plans with stakeholders.
• Lead project updates with the CEO and Chief Medical Officer, communicating progress, risks, bottlenecks, and decisions.
• Analyze complex business challenges, identify root causes, and implement data-driven solutions and workarounds.
• Build alignment across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, and other functions without formal authority.
• Manage expectations and competing priorities while ensuring sustainable hand-offs and project outcomes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in operational, cross-functional roles, ideally in a startup environment.
• Demonstrated achievement under resource, time, or financial constraints and a strong ownership mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, including experience with spreadsheets, dashboards, and analytics tools.
• Outstanding relationship-building and collaboration skills, with perseverance and a bias toward action.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada without current or future employer visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience in a fast-growth startup, strategy consulting with operational experience, or as a founder.
• Graduation from a top undergraduate or graduate university.
• Interest in eventually leading or founding a venture.
