What you will do
- Independently develop strategic, high-quality, and medically accurate content for diverse medical communications resources.
- Liaise directly with clients on strategy, medical content, and regulatory review meetings.
- Supervise and provide feedback to 2–4 medical writers and scientific associates.
- Plan and allocate resources based on business needs and project timelines.
- Assist in the development of new business proposals, including target product profiles and competitive analyses.
- Ensure adherence to best practices for content development and internal regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States
- 5–7 years of experience in medical communication, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries.
- BA/BS in life sciences or English with relevant agency experience.
- Strong command of American Medical Association (AMA) style.
- Proficiency with scientific search engines like PubMed and Google Scholar.
- Ability to translate complex scientific concepts for managed care audiences.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree in life sciences (PharmD or PhD).
- Working knowledge of managed markets, healthcare delivery systems, and health reform legislation.
- Experience in managed care (HMO, MCO, PBM).
- Proven ability to develop engaging promotional content.
