Manager, Medical Communication

Location: Hybrid role based at the Monmouth Junction, New Jersey office; local candidates must work the majority of the week onsite. Travel by car and air up to 25% is required.

Salary: $125,000–$145,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility and benefits.

What you will do

• Identify and execute scientific educational opportunities aligned with medical strategy.
• Direct the development, quality control, and internal endorsement of scientific communication platforms, lexicons, disease-state education materials, and congress resources.
• Lead the creation and delivery of medical content for major scientific congresses and act as the primary Medical Affairs contact for congress activities.
• Manage medical review committees and drive approval and strategic alignment of materials.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for medical integrity, scientific accuracy, and fair, balanced communication.
• Oversee vendors and agency partners, project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and centralized scientific resource repositories.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in medicine or biosciences, such as MD, DO, PharmD, or PhD.
• At least 3 years of Medical Communications or related experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industry.
• Strong scientific and pharmaceutical knowledge, including pharmaceutical compliance laws, regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices.
• Working knowledge of Commercial Operations functions and strategies.
• Experience in medical writing, publication requirements, and journal submissions.
• Ability to evaluate and communicate scientific and medical information effectively to internal and external audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience in CNS, psychiatry, ADHD, or pain therapeutic areas.
