What you will do

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for electric drive mining trucks from concept to production.
• Own and maintain 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings according to company standards.
• Evaluate loads, interfaces, materials, and tolerances to ensure robustness for real-world mining applications.
• Analyze reliability, warranty, and field performance data to identify systemic design risks and failure modes.
• Translate reliability insights into actionable design requirements and guidelines for new developments.
• Support design risk identification through DFMEAs, design reviews, and risk assessments.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in heavy equipment, mining, or industrial machinery.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and engineering drawing release.
• Knowledge of reliability concepts, failure modes, and lifecycle performance.
• Ability to process large datasets using Excel, Power BI, Python, or similar tools.
• Experience with DFMEA and root cause analysis.

Nice to have

• MS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification.
• Experience applying Crow-AMSAA reliability growth models.
