What you will do

• Develop personalized academic and extracurricular plans for students applying to selective universities.
• Provide strategic guidance on college lists, identifying reach, target, and safety schools.
• Review and edit personal statements, essays, resumes, and recommendation letters.
• Advise on standardized testing strategies and curate meaningful summer plans, including internships and research.
• Strategize application timelines for early action, early decision, and regular decision cycles.
• Maintain communication and healthy relationships with students and their parents.

Requirements

• Graduate of a top 50 national university (Advanced degrees like MD, PhD, MBA, JD, or Masters are a plus).
• Proven experience as a college counselor with a track record of acceptances into top 50 national universities.
• Consistent availability in the afternoons (after 3:00 p.m.) and/or on weekends.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills for teaching and essay editing.
• Ability to commit to students for multi-year service packages.

Nice to have

• Former experience as an admissions officer at a top 50 college.
• Professional certification from independent counseling bodies (NACAC, WACAC, IECA, etc.).
