Senior Technical Business Analyst (Insurance)

Location: Atlanta, GA, United States; hybrid work with two days per week in the office

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year

What you will do

• Translate business requirements into functional and non-functional technical requirements and solutions.
• Produce user stories, functional and non-functional specifications, interactive prototypes, and other analysis artifacts.
• Lead solution design walkthroughs and product functionality demonstrations, gathering and documenting stakeholder feedback.
• Validate solutions through user acceptance testing and support test analysis, defect triage, and defect review.
• Collaborate with business sponsors, subject matter experts, Product Owners, IT teams, and third-party technology providers.
• Support Agile ceremonies and drive continual improvements across the delivery and release lifecycle.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in enterprise application technical analysis.
• Experience eliciting, documenting, and delivering systems analysis artifacts and clear, testable user stories.
• Experience creating and executing functional and non-functional test cases, analyzing defects, and supporting their resolution.
• Knowledge of database and system design, with experience writing and executing SQL queries.
• Working knowledge of JSON and XML, plus the ability to participate in technical design discussions.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, facilitation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with REST and SOAP API methodologies.
• Experience with Agile environments, OKRs, Jira, Confluence, advanced Excel, BPMN, BDD, or Gherkin.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or robotic process automation.
• Experience in commercial and personal lines insurance product development.
• Experience working as part of a globally distributed team.
