Senior Technical Business Systems Analyst (Banking)

Location: On-site at the HQ in San Diego, California, United States

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year, plus eligible annual discretionary cash bonus target of 10% and restricted stock units bonus target of 10%.

What you will do

• Develop strategies to optimize systems and improve efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Product, Development, and other stakeholders to define technical solutions, high-level specifications, POCs, and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business requirements into user stories and detailed technical documentation for development teams.
• Partner with the Software Development Manager and Technical Leads on low-level documentation.
• Act as a subject matter expert for assigned software systems and provide technical insights throughout project delivery.
• Support requirements gathering, testing, deployment, production support, and documentation updates across the SDLC.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in financial management, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of technical business analysis experience within the banking industry.
• Experience analyzing software applications, programs, or web services.
• Proficiency in Agile/SCRUM, including writing user stories and technical documentation.
• Hands-on experience across SDLC phases, including requirements gathering, testing, and deployment.
• Strong written, verbal, and email communication skills.
• Independent, detail-oriented, highly organized, and analytically strong.
