Senior Reinsurance Business Analyst

What you will do

• Support functional implementation of an out-of-the-box reinsurance administration application.
• Elicit requirements, analyze processes, perform fit-gap assessments, and define target operating procedures across treaty, facultative, claims, accounting, reporting, and close processes.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, configuration guidance, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead workshops, solution walkthroughs, and decision-making sessions with clients and subject matter experts.
• Partner with technical teams on integrations, data conversion, reporting, configuration, and business-rule validation.
• Oversee functional testing, defect triage, business sign-off, training, cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilization while mentoring other analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and typically 8+ years of relevant business analysis or functional leadership experience.
• Significant experience with insurance or reinsurance system implementations and strong knowledge of reinsurance administration processes.
• Experience with packaged or out-of-the-box enterprise applications, requirements management, fit-gap analysis, process design, and functional specifications.
• Experience supporting data migration, integration design, end-to-end testing, and stakeholder workshops in complex enterprise implementations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and senior-stakeholder facilitation skills.
• Experience mentoring junior analysts and familiarity with Agile, iterative, or hybrid delivery approaches and requirements or test management tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with commercial reinsurance administration or policy administration platforms; DXC’s SICS Reinsurance Administration application experience is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of ceded, assumed, and retrocession processes, including proportional and non-proportional contracts.
• Familiarity with regulatory, statutory, and management reporting requirements for reinsurance operations.
• Professional certifications or an advanced degree in a relevant field.
