What you will do
- Ensure EDS work is reflected in program schedules and prerequisite materials are delivered on time across engineering and cross-functional teams.
- Serve as the primary liaison for internal first-article harness builds, advising build priorities and incorporating redline feedback into designs.
- Partner with supply chain, quality, and external suppliers to align design releases, build plans, material bottleneck identification, and implementation schedules.
- Lead EDS risk assessment planning and execution to proactively identify and mitigate program risks.
- Run EDS-focused engineering change control board (CCB) submissions from initiation through incorporation and support documentation for final safety case closure.
- Standardize and streamline team processes and ways of working across the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing complex hardware development programs using cross-functional resources across electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality.
- Proven ability to build and maintain program control documentation (integrated master schedules, risk registers, resource plans, and budgets).
- Experience executing engineering change management processes.
- Proficiency with program/task management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, and Confluence.
- Ability to be located in Pittsburgh, PA.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
