AI Automation Engineer

Location: California, United States

Base pay range: USD 102,300–160,820 annually for California excluding the San Francisco Bay Area.

What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve AI chat assistants for Customer Success, Renewals, Technical Account Management, and Managed Services personas.
• Apply prompt engineering, usage data, and user feedback to improve assistant accuracy and reliability.
• Build scheduled and trigger-based AI workflow automations with evaluation logic, downstream actions, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
• Optimize AI architecture by modularizing agent workflows, improving data retrieval, and deciding which logic belongs in prompts versus Python code.
• Integrate AI capabilities with MCP, data warehouses, Salesforce, Gainsight/Totango, Clari, Gong, Pendo, Snowflake/Redshift, AWS, and Power BI.
• Build agentic customer-success applications with monitoring, evaluation logic, and safety guardrails for reliable operation at scale.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience, including at least 2 years focused on AI technologies.
• Proven experience building AI applications with measurable results, including multi-agent systems.
• Strong command of advanced prompt engineering and context construction for reliable model output.
• Working knowledge of Python and experience with enterprise orchestration platforms and LLM platforms such as Anthropic, OpenAI, and Amazon Bedrock.
• Experience in go-to-market or post-sales functions and strong communication skills for explaining AI concepts to business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Amazon Quick Automate, UnifyApps, OpenAI Codex, Claude CoWork, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with the broader customer-success technology stack.
