What you will do

• Own and maintain the integrated financial model connecting growth, engagement, interchange, deposits, credit, and rewards to revenue, margin, and cash.
• Build financial models and provide guidance to leaders on financial strategy, investments, and resource allocation (pricing, unit economics, marketing ROI, strategic initiatives).
• Prepare and deliver financial reports, analyses, and forecasts highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for executives and stakeholders.
• Establish and implement reporting dashboards and scorecards for key operational and financial metrics.
• Design AI-augmented forecasting and analysis workflows (driver-based forecasts, automated variance narratives, scenario modeling).
• Lead core planning cycles (monthly business reviews, annual budget, rolling forecasts, long-range plan) and support board/investor and fundraising analyses with the CFO.

Requirements

• Location: Remote (US) or San Mateo, CA
• 5–8+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting, ideally with operating experience in a high-growth technology or fintech company.
• Advanced financial modeling skills, including experience architecting integrated operating models from scratch.
• Strong accuracy and ownership: tie out numbers, sanity-check outputs, and build models executives can trust.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in day-to-day work to automate and improve forecasting/analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to distill complex analysis for non-finance audiences and executives.

Nice to have

• Experience with credit products and analyzing credit performance data.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Looker or similar BI tools.
• Knowledge of banking, payments, or consumer fintech (interchange, deposits, rewards).
• Experience as an early finance hire at a growth-stage startup.
