Engineering and GovCloud Lead - Federal Health (AWS GovCloud)

Location: Remote role associated with Arlington, VA, United States.

What you will do

• Lead engineering activities for enterprise healthcare modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Oversee Configuration and Integration Testing to verify functional, technical, performance, and security requirements before production deployment.
• Coordinate software development, cloud infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, systems integration, and infrastructure engineering activities.
• Collaborate with architects and technical leads on scalable, secure, and maintainable cloud-based solutions.
• Support AWS GovCloud implementation and compliance with federal security and operational requirements.
• Lead design reviews, architecture discussions, implementation planning, deployment readiness reviews, risk monitoring, traceability, and technical issue resolution with program and government stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Ten years of experience leading enterprise engineering, cloud, systems integration, or software development initiatives.
• Experience supporting AWS GovCloud, AWS, Azure Government, or comparable secure cloud environments.
• Experience leading Configuration and Integration Testing, systems engineering, or enterprise application implementations.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, infrastructure, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and systems integration principles.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or hybrid software development methodologies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 3 Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting VA, VHA, DHA, or other federal healthcare organizations, health IT, telehealth, or federal program management.
• AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, Azure Solutions Architect, or comparable cloud certification.
