What you will do

• Lead and scale the SELECT cloud cost management platform, shaping the technical strategy and product roadmap.
• Partner with engineers to design scalable, reliable products across application, data platform, and infrastructure.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing team through coaching, feedback, and career growth planning.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to align technical execution with business priorities and customer needs.
• Drive engineering excellence via code quality standards, observability, and operational maturity.
• Scale the engineering organization by attracting, interviewing, and hiring exceptional talent.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
• 2+ years of experience in engineering leadership or management of software teams.
• Strong technical background in backend engineering, data modeling, and data-intensive systems.
• Proficiency with Python, FastAPI, Postgres, dbt, Dagster, Snowflake, or similar modern data platforms.
• Must be based in Canada or the US.
• Ability to influence technical direction and lead architectural discussions.

Nice to have

• Experience building SaaS products in startup or high-growth environments.
• Knowledge of FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience leading distributed remote engineering teams.
• Experience scaling teams and processes following rapid growth or acquisition.
