Software Engineer III (Fullstack)

Location: Virtual US; candidates must be located in the United States. Remote work is supported, with travel for some team meetings and cross-functional projects typically once per month or once per quarter.

Base salary: $129,000–$152,000 annually. The role is eligible for a 15% target annual bonus, with total target compensation of $141,900–$165,200.

What you will do

• Develop scalable backend services with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build performant, accessible, and user-friendly applications with React, Next, and Ant.
• Design and improve workflows for the Core Lab Case Management platform, moving and prioritizing complex case data through laboratory operations.
• Write testable, observable, maintainable code and participate in system design reviews.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners in an agile environment.
• Contribute to documentation, code reviews, engineering standards, and on-call production support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience, including fullstack development.
• Strong proficiency in React, CSS, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of software engineering practices, system design, debugging, and feature ownership.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in distributed environments.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated domains such as healthcare or fintech and with high-availability infrastructure.
• Experience with Docker, AWS EKS, CI/CD automation, and infrastructure as code.
• Exposure to event-driven architecture, microservices, asynchronous workflows, or Python.
