Senior Software Engineer (Next.js)

Location: Remote within Colombia

What you will do

• Design and implement flexible content models in Optimizely SaaS and integrate headless APIs with modern web applications.
• Architect and deploy high-performance applications using Next.js, Next.js Middleware, and Vercel Edge Functions for routing, personalization, and edge optimization.
• Lead automated content migrations using custom scripting and AI-assisted workflows.
• Develop accessible, W3C-compliant web applications and backend microservices with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, and modern CSS libraries.
• Collaborate with UX, Product, and QA teams to refine requirements and enforce WCAG, ARIA, and Core Web Vitals standards.
• Maintain design documentation, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior engineers in an agile environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience delivering large-scale web applications for enterprise clients.
• Hands-on experience with Optimizely SaaS integration, headless API architectures, and enterprise content modeling.
• Strong expertise in Next.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, Next.js Middleware, and Vercel Edge Functions.
• Experience with content migration automation, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, backend services, and SQL/NoSQL database design.
• Knowledge of composable architecture, Storybook, design tokens, modern CSS, CI/CD pipelines, edge CDNs, and cloud services.
• Advanced English proficiency at C1+ level is required for global collaboration. A relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience is required; an engineering degree may require a professional license in Colombia.
