Software Engineer II

Location: Fully remote within the United States, with approximately 10% travel for periodic in-person collaboration. An in-person interview may be required before hiring.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain internal platform tools and services.
• Build backend services, APIs, and data models supporting multiple digital products.
• Develop internal tool interfaces using React and Next.js.
• Monitor, debug, and troubleshoot applications using logging, metrics, and observability tools.
• Support software deployments through CI/CD pipelines and help maintain healthy production environments.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, Platform, Infrastructure, and SRE teams; contribute to documentation, code reviews, and on-call support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Programming experience from internships, projects, open-source contributions, or up to two years of professional development.
• Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript and modern web development frameworks such as React.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs, databases, software testing, and Git.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and continuous-learning skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building web applications or internal tools through internships or projects.
• Exposure to AWS, CI/CD workflows, or platform engineering.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
