TL;DR

Manager, Sales Development (Sales): Leading and coaching a team of Sales Development Representatives to build and convert pipeline within the SMB organization with an accent on outbound/inbound qualification practices and sales technology utilization. Focus on driving consistent opportunity creation, refining messaging playbooks, and fostering high-performing team dynamics.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Chicago, IL (Hybrid: 1-2 days/week on-site)

Compensation: $78,500 – $95,000 yearly

What you will do

  • Lead and mentor a team of SDRs to achieve individual and team performance targets.
  • Develop and implement messaging, playbooks, and qualification strategies for multi-channel prospecting.
  • Monitor performance dashboards to identify bottlenecks and improve conversion rates.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to optimize lead handoffs and pipeline contribution.
  • Oversee inbound inquiry qualification and ensure adherence to SLA and CRM hygiene standards.
  • Conduct ongoing skills development through call reviews and live coaching sessions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5–8 years of experience in B2B sales development, lead generation, or inside sales.
  • Proven experience in team leadership and coaching.
  • Proficiency with sales tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process-driven mentality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
