What you will do

  • Launch and operationalize the EI SMHS program in accordance with the ACBHD program model.
  • Establish and maintain program policies, operational infrastructure, and Medi-Cal billing systems.
  • Supervise and coach a team of 2-5 clinical staff, including ASWs and MHRS.
  • Conduct regular audits of case files and billing records to ensure compliance with SMHS requirements.
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations and benchmarks with the Alameda County Behavioral Health Department.
  • Provide clinical oversight for assessments, treatment plans, and crisis interventions.

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted LCSW license in California.
  • Eligible to be an approved clinical supervisor in CA (licensed for 2+ years in the state).
  • 2+ years post-licensure experience providing clinical mental health services, ideally in a Medi-Cal setting.
  • 2+ years of staff supervision experience.
  • 1+ years of experience managing programs.
  • Must be based in or able to work onsite in Oakland, CA.

Nice to have

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, Arabic, Dari, Tigrinya, or other languages common in the refugee community.
  • Experience working with refugees, immigrants, or forcibly displaced populations.
  • Knowledge of MAA billing (Medical Administrative Activities).
  • Experience with EHR and billing platforms.
