TL;DR

Commercial Sales Director (SaaS): Driving customer base growth and establishing sales foundations for dbt Cloud Enterprise with an accent on consultative selling and technical data operations. Focus on managing the full sales cycle from lead to close, implementing POCs, and collaborating with product teams to refine the enterprise roadmap.

Location: Hybrid in Austin, TX (3 days in office preferred)

Salary: $90,000 — $220,000 (OTE)

What you will do

  • Own the full sales cycle from lead to close for prospects.
  • Organize and manage POC implementations of dbt Cloud Enterprise.
  • Lead and contribute to team projects that develop and optimize the sales process.
  • Collaborate with product teams to build and maintain the enterprise roadmap.
  • Develop deep expertise in SQL, dbt, and enterprise data operations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of closing experience in technology sales with a proven track record of exceeding annual targets.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into a consultative sale.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders from individual developers up to the CTO.
  • Diligence and organizational skills to manage long, intricate sales cycles.
  • Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Austin, TX.
  • Experience with SQL or a strong willingness to learn.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in analytics, ETL, BI, or open-source software.
  • Existing knowledge or prior experience with dbt.
