Senior Software Engineer, Platform

Location: Krakow, Poland

Base salary: PLN 244,000–335,500 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, test, deploy, and operate scalable backend services and platform capabilities.
• Develop APIs and service integrations for distributed and cloud-based systems.
• Make technical decisions covering data flow, asynchronous workflows, scalability, resiliency, and performance.
• Own services throughout their lifecycle, including observability, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Improve infrastructure automation, CI/CD, testing, and engineering workflows.
• Contribute to ADRs, RFCs, architecture discussions, technical feedback, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building scalable, resilient production systems.
• Experience designing REST or gRPC APIs, working with SQL databases, and building cloud-native architectures on GCP and AWS.
• Deep understanding of event-driven architecture, asynchronous processing, scalability, fault tolerance, and eventual consistency.
• Experience with Terraform, observability, monitoring and tracing, IAM, OAuth, automated testing, SOLID principles, code reviews, and technical documentation.
• Ability to work across the full software lifecycle and adapt to evolving architectures, languages, and cloud-native technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go, PHP, Ruby, or Python.
• Knowledge of GKE, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, EC2, or S3.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, OpenTelemetry, Google Cloud Operations, Prometheus, or Datadog.
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development and code quality.
