What you will do

• Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and platform capabilities.
• Develop APIs and service integrations for distributed cloud-based systems.
• Make technical design decisions regarding data flow, asynchronous workflows, and system performance.
• Own services throughout their lifecycle, including deployment, observability, and production support.
• Diagnose complex issues across application, infrastructure, and networking layers.
• Improve CI/CD, automation, and engineering workflows to increase delivery quality.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience in building resilient production systems.
• Proficiency in backend development using languages such as Go, PHP, Ruby, or Python.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures on GCP or AWS.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and SQL databases.
• Commitment to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and observability practices.
• Must be based in Krakow, Poland.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker orchestration.
• Familiarity with observability tools like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Datadog.
• Proactive use of AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity.
