Educational Consultant - Per Diem - Middle School Math – New York City, New York

Location: New York City, NY; must live within 30 miles of the posting city. This is not a remote position and requires considerable travel, including up to 80% travel.

Salary: $35–$65 per hour, depending on the assigned work, with compensation for professional development delivery, internal training, travel time, and eligible travel expenses.

What you will do

• Deliver mathematics professional development, product training, and onsite support for teachers, coaches, and school administrators.
• Support effective implementation of Ready and i-Ready to improve classroom learning and equity.
• Provide lesson planning, pacing, instructional, and data-analysis support tailored to educator and school needs.
• Analyze assessment and implementation data with teachers and leaders to identify successes and challenges.
• Participate in internal professional improvement through observation, feedback, and coaching.
• Track training notes, complete assignments, and maintain a professional customer-facing presence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience teaching mathematics, coaching mathematics teachers, and delivering mathematics professional development.
• Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level or a degree in mathematics or mathematics education is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Common Core State Standards for Mathematics for Grades 6–8, including content and practice standards.
• Fluency with digital tools and online assessments, and the ability to use data with teachers and leaders.
• Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Must be based in New York City or within 30 miles, have reliable personal transportation and a valid driver’s license, and be available for up to 80% travel.
