Technical Assistance Consultant, Special Education (Part-Time)

Location: Remote within the United States, with required residency in Tennessee and travel throughout Tennessee as needed; national travel may also be required.

Anticipated hourly rate: $47.75–$48.50 USD.

What you will do

• Develop training materials, implementation measures, and monitoring and feedback protocols.
• Deliver professional development, coaching, and technical assistance to educators implementing programs and improving instruction.
• Apply special education and literacy expertise to research activities, including participant recruitment, measurement development, data collection, and implementation analysis.
• Prepare reports interpreting findings for clients, partners, and other audiences.
• Collaborate with education leaders, providers, researchers, partners, and project teams; supervise research and technical assistance staff as a task or functional lead.
• Lead projects and tasks and contribute to business development, strategic planning, and proposal development.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in special education or a related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and related special education requirements.
• Extensive experience designing and delivering virtual and onsite professional development and coaching to educators in Tennessee.
• Experience with evidence-based instructional practices, adult learning, special education training, and technical assistance.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, collaboration, and project management skills.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; employment-based visa sponsorship, including H-1B sponsorship, is not available.
