TL;DR
Senior Content Manager (Media): Sourcing and managing content opportunities for linear and non-linear services with an accent on global acquisitions and editorial alignment. Location: Hybrid (London); Must be based in the UK
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 plus London Weighting Allowance of £5,441 and 15% bonus OTE

What you will do
- Lead the end-to-end content pipeline process, including sourcing, pitching, tracking, and feedback management.
- Act as the key liaison across Content, Programming, Sales, Commissioning, and Acquisitions teams.
- Identify and communicate content opportunities from and third-party catalogues to meet performance targets.
- Manage licensing deals, budget planning, and content tracking systems for global channels.
- Line manage the Global Acquisitions Executive to support their professional development.
- Provide expertise on market trends and content supply across the UK, ANZ, and North America.
Requirements
- Extensive content and programming expertise with strong editorial judgement for scripted and unscripted content.
- Deep knowledge of external supplier catalogues (e.g., US Studios) and the UK, North American, and ANZ broadcasting landscapes.
- Solid understanding of global content distribution, rights, licensing, and acquisition processes.
- Proven experience in managing, mentoring, and developing team members.
- Strong analytical skills for budget forecasting, investment decisions, and delivering executive-level reports.
- Eligibility to work in the UK is required.
Nice to have
- Understanding of UKTV and BBC-Branded services and their specific editorial requirements.
- Experience working across multiple global markets rather than a single territory.
- Previous experience in programme planning or scheduling.
