What you will do

• Lead production of the weekday breakfast programme.
• Set the morning editorial agenda and shape the local news priorities for Northamptonshire.
• Provide editorial leadership, coaching, and support to journalists, producers, and colleagues.
• Develop creative treatments for stories and features using strong audio craft.
• Respond confidently to breaking news and changing editorial priorities.
• Help build a creative, inclusive, and collaborative working environment.

Requirements

• Significant experience producing live radio in a fast-paced broadcast environment.
• Proven ability to lead teams and deliver high-quality content to tight deadlines.
• Strong editorial judgement and confidence to make quick decisions as news develops.
• Excellent storytelling and production skills, with the ability to make complex stories relevant to local audiences.
• Experience working closely with presenters and colleagues while maintaining high editorial and compliance standards.
