Frontend Engineer

TL;DR

Frontend Engineer (Next.js/React/TypeScript/GraphQL): Build and enhance customer-facing and internal web applications with an accent on performance optimisation, experimentation, and accessible, scalable UI development. Focus on improving reusable frontend components and shared libraries while delivering features end-to-end from technical design through CI/CD, testing, and observability.

Location: London (hybrid — come to the London office 2–3 days a week). Option to work from abroad for up to 120 days a year (subject to right to work in the country of choice).

What you will do

• Build and enhance customer-facing and internal web applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and GraphQL across multiple products.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Marketing, and Backend to deliver intuitive, accessible, high-performing user experiences.
• Improve reusable components, shared libraries, and frontend platform practices to help teams move faster.
• Optimise performance, reliability, and accessibility using data, experimentation, and customer feedback.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and observability to maintain engineering standards.
• Take ownership of features and proactively improve applications, developer experience, and ways of working.

Requirements

• Commercial experience building modern web applications with React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
• Strong frontend engineering fundamentals: component-based architecture, state management, and responsive, accessible UI development.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers.
• Familiarity with modern development practices: testing, Git, CI/CD, and Agile delivery.
• Proactive mindset with curiosity to learn, solve problems, and improve as an engineer.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL and observability tools such as Honeycomb or Grafana.
• Experience building customer-facing products in fintech or other regulated/fast-growing technology environments.
• Experience contributing to shared libraries, design systems, or platform tooling.
