Staff Frontend Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Lead frontend engineering across multiple cross-functional squads and resolve technical problems spanning teams.
• Ship product features end to end, including accessible and performant components, application integration, and production delivery.
• Own API contracts, technical documentation, specifications, and the frontend technical roadmap.
• Set frontend standards and lead migrations across web properties, using new framework capabilities effectively.
• Define security, quality, reliability, incident review, observability, and production-readiness standards.
• Lead AI-assisted engineering practices, improve build and deployment workflows, and develop engineers into technical leaders.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of focused frontend experience building and operating production web applications at scale.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript, React, modern CSS/SCSS, HTML, ECMAScript, and frameworks such as Next.js for SSR, routing, and data fetching.
• Experience with unit and end-to-end testing, CI workflows, design systems, frontend performance, Core Web Vitals, accessibility auditing, and observability.
• Ability to bridge product and engineering priorities, make difficult technical decisions, and lead complex projects through uncertainty.
• Experience with frontend security, legacy systems, production-scale reliability, API contracts, and build-versus-buy decisions.
• Backend fluency sufficient to follow requests into the API layer and shape contracts on both sides.

• Experience creating practical UI designs without a dedicated Designer.
• Experience evaluating new frameworks, vendors, and third-party tools.
• Strong interest in leading AI-assisted development workflows.
