Senior Frontend Engineer

Location: Fully remote within the EU and in the UK, Germany, Turkey, Poland, Italy, Spain, or Portugal; applicants must have the right to work in their country and substantial overlap with UK working hours.

hirify.global is a property technology platform that coordinates repairs, maintenance, contractor workflows, and operational analytics for housing providers and residential property operators across the UK and Germany.

What you will do

• Build and maintain web application interfaces using TypeScript, React, React Router, TanStack Query, MaterialUI, and BaseUI.
• Translate product ideas and designs into technical specifications covering user flows, system behaviour, edge cases, acceptance criteria, and testing.
• Design maintainable component APIs, state management, and data-fetching patterns, and shape REST API contracts with backend engineers.
• Diagnose frontend performance issues, production incidents, security risks, and integration problems across frontend and backend systems.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; instrument observability with Sentry, Grafana Logs, or New Relic.
• Use and improve spec-driven development with agentic coding tools, while reviewing AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, accessibility, and maintainability.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 5+ years of commercial React and TypeScript experience.
• Expert-level TypeScript and modern JavaScript with deep knowledge of React, data fetching, routing, and component libraries.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including design patterns, testing, debugging, maintainable code, accessibility, and frontend performance.
• Experience operating production frontends for customer-facing SaaS products, including monitoring, incident response, and performance improvement.
• Experience with REST APIs, service-oriented architectures, CI/CD, frontend observability, and common security risks such as XSS and CSRF.
• Must be based in an eligible country with the right to work there and be available for substantial overlap with UK working hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with Django REST Framework or an equivalent backend framework.
• Experience working in a large, long-lived codebase where testability and maintainability are central.
• Professional experience using AI coding tools within a spec-driven development framework.
