TL;DR
Early Years Product Specialist (GovTech): Shaping and delivering digital products for Early Years Funding within the UK public sector with an accent on translating statutory requirements into actionable product features. Location: Remote or Hybrid (UK). Must have pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK.

What you will do
- Analyze business processes, service workflows, and user journeys for Early Years Funding and related services.
- Translate statutory guidance and operational policy into clear product requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and QA teams to ensure shared understanding of priorities.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, and playback sessions to validate requirements and build consensus.
- Produce high-quality BA artifacts including process maps, wireframes, decision tables, and service models.
- Manage backlog refinement and sprint planning within an agile delivery environment.
Requirements
- Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK.
- Domain knowledge of Early Years Funding processes, including eligibility, applications, and payments.
- Experience in a product or digital delivery environment translating policy into software requirements.
- Strong skills in process analysis and modeling (current and future state).
- Proficiency with agile practices, user story development, and iterative delivery.
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, Miro, or Visio.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with user-centered design principles and experience collaborating with research colleagues.
