Systems Interface Engineer (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Develop real-time and batch interfaces between disparate systems using the HL7 standard and interface engines.
• Analyze, design, program, and document technical specifications, user procedures, and error-handling methods.
• Coordinate with vendors and lead project workgroups to enhance existing system requirements and implement new ones.
• Provide 24-hour on-call support, troubleshooting production issues and managing incidents and releases.
• Perform proactive application maintenance, including certificate and credential management and infrastructural updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or equivalent experience (3-5 years).
• Must be located in or able to commute to Columbus, OH for a hybrid work arrangement.
• Working knowledge of interface engines (e.g., Cloverleaf) and network protocols such as TCP/IP and LU2.
• Proficiency in application protocols including HL7, ANSI X12, and XML/REST.
• Working knowledge of UNIX and TCL.

Nice to have

• Experience with FHIR API standards.
• Experience with API/Web Services and integration with EMR systems.
• Previous experience in Project Management or as a Team Lead.
