TL;DR
Associate Systems Analyst (Medtech): Supporting the design, implementation, and training of Epic clinical software systems with an accent on outpatient workflows and end-user education. Focus on troubleshooting system issues, coordinating project tasks, and ensuring clinical staff proficiency through effective curriculum development and support.
Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Morgantown, West Virginia (Hybrid role with required travel to WVUHS facilities).

What you will do
- Develop and deliver training curricula for Epic Ambulatory clinical applications.
- Provide end-user support, including classroom and one-on-one remediation training.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving IT system issues to maintain operational efficiency.
- Participate in functional and integrated testing for system updates and new implementations.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to gather requirements and align technical solutions.
- Maintain project documentation, including plans, status updates, and risk mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field OR two years of relevant experience.
- Ability to travel to various WVUHS facilities as needed for implementations and training.
- Foundational experience in analyzing business needs and documenting functional specifications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and end-user support.
- Understanding of clinical data management and healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM).
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with Epic or similar clinical/web application systems.
- Knowledge of reporting tools and data analysis for decision-making.
- Experience in inpatient or outpatient clinical settings.
- Proficiency in systems administration and workflow optimization.
