Associate Systems Analyst - Software Trainer (Outpatient Clinical Staff) (Epic Ambulatory): Supporting the implementation, maintenance, testing, and optimization of Epic Ambulatory applications for outpatient clinical staff with an accent on end-user training, workflow support, and healthcare interoperability. Focus on troubleshooting system issues, coordinating implementations, developing training content, and improving clinical workflows across WVU Medicine facilities.
Location: Hybrid role based at WVUH Windwood in Morgantown, West Virginia, United States; travel to other facilities or affiliated sites is required for implementations, training, and support.

What you will do
- Support the design, implementation, maintenance, testing, and optimization of software systems and basic clinical workflows.
- Develop and deliver classroom, one-on-one, and remediation training for outpatient clinical staff using Epic Ambulatory applications.
- Provide troubleshooting, ongoing end-user support, user security administration, data import/export assistance, and basic reporting.
- Assess user readiness, identify training needs, and contribute to curricula and training materials.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, documentation, meetings, risk mitigation, issue management, and stakeholder communication.
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT teams on implementations, workflow changes, system enhancements, and ongoing education.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or two years of relevant experience.
- Foundational ability to analyze business needs, document functional specifications, troubleshoot systems, test workflows, and support technical solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication, relationship-building, teamwork, adaptability, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid office environment and travel to facilities or affiliated sites as required.
- Ability to complete relevant certifications or proficiencies within 90 days after formal WVUHS Information Technology training, when required.
Nice to have
- Experience with clinical, business, imaging, or web application systems and advanced workflows.
- Experience in inpatient or outpatient clinical settings and healthcare system implementations.
- Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, DICOM, cloud-based healthcare applications, web services, reporting tools, and clinical data management.
- Experience with systems administration, data analysis, process mapping, workflow diagrams, and operational optimization.
