What you will do

• Build and own the iOS and Android test automation integrated into the CI pipeline.
• Deliver precise quality signals for nightly, weekly, and release builds to determine shipping readiness.
• Automate critical user journeys such as onboarding, text/voice chats, payments, and notifications.
• Perform detailed bug triage and report failures so engineers can fix them without manual reproduction.
• Maintain dashboards, TestRail, and release notes to provide visibility into shipping risks.
• Collaborate with app engineers to shift appropriate checks down to unit or integration test layers.

Requirements

• 7–8 years of experience in software QA / test engineering.
• 4+ years of experience building mobile test automation for iOS and/or Android.
• Hands-on experience with frameworks such as XCUITest, XCTest, Espresso, Appium, Maestro, or Detox.
• Strong scripting and programming skills to build custom harnesses and tools.
• Proven experience integrating tests into CI/CD or release pipelines.
• Must be based in or work on-site in San Francisco, Bellevue, or New York.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in both iOS and Android automation.
• Experience with TestRail or similar test management tools.
• Knowledge of mobile observability tools like Datadog, RUM, or Firebase.
• Experience testing AI, voice, chat, payments, or latency-sensitive features.
