Location: Woodlawn, Maryland; remote work may be performed within the United States, or employees may work on-site at the Baltimore, Maryland office. Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States and have lived in the United States for at least three of the last five years.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of scalable test automation frameworks.
• Establish automation standards, coding practices, and quality-engineering best practices across Agile teams.
• Develop automated tests for Angular web applications using tools such as JUnit, NUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress, and Taiko.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, monitor results, troubleshoot failures, and improve test-suite reliability and performance.
• Review pull requests, identify test-coverage gaps, and mentor SDETs, automation engineers, developers, and other team members.
• Evaluate new testing tools, lead proofs of concept, and support continuous testing, AI-assisted testing, and other quality-engineering initiatives.

Requirements

• At least eight years of software testing, quality engineering, or test automation experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of web test automation frameworks, design patterns, and industry best practices.
• Experience with JUnit, NUnit, TestNG or Cucumber; Selenium, Cypress, Taiko or comparable tools; and automated testing for Angular applications.
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge, including queries or scripts for backend data validation.
• Experience with Maven, NPM, Jenkins, Git, API testing tools, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, Confluence, and test-result analysis.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Federal Position of Trust clearance and meet the U.S. residency requirement for clearance sponsorship.

• Experience with healthcare, federal government, or other highly regulated technology programs.
• Experience leading automation or quality-engineering teams.
• Experience with performance, accessibility, security, or contract testing.
• Experience evaluating AI-assisted testing tools, cloud-based test execution, containerization, or test-reporting platforms.
