QA Automation Engineer II (IntelliScript)

Location: Remote within the United States; occasional travel to the hirify.global office in Brookfield, Wisconsin, plus nationwide travel for meetings, conferences, and team events. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future immigration support or sponsorship.

Salary: $78,800–$145,130 annually. Candidates in specified higher-range locations may receive $90,620–$145,130; all other locations use $78,800–$126,200.

What you will do

• Design, document, maintain, and execute test cases for new features, integrations, enhancements, and regression coverage.
• Perform functional, exploratory, integration, smoke, regression, and end-to-end testing across web interfaces and REST APIs.
• Validate workflows, business rules, data, usability, error handling, authentication, payloads, and cross-browser behavior.
• Use SQL, logs, and diagnostic information to investigate issues across application layers and create reproducible defect reports.
• Collaborate with developers in troubleshooting, fix verification, regression planning, and release-readiness assessment.
• Execute automated suites, troubleshoot basic failures, identify automation candidates, and contribute to UI or API automation.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of software quality assurance or testing experience with strong manual testing experience for web applications.
• Experience testing APIs with Postman or a similar tool and working knowledge of SQL.
• Experience creating test cases and exploratory test scenarios based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Experience with functional, integration, regression, negative, and end-to-end testing, plus defect management in Jira or a similar tool.
• Experience using generative AI tools for testing activities with appropriate review and validation of generated outputs.
• Experience working in an Agile or Scrum delivery team, with strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Zephyr, TestRail, or another test management platform.
• Exposure to UI or API automation and tools such as Playwright, RestSharp, Reqnroll, Selenium, or comparable frameworks.
• Basic programming or scripting experience in C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, or a similar language.
• Experience running automated tests through CI/CD pipelines and testing SaaS or complex business applications.
