What you will do

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with company goals and values.
• Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance concerns, and workplace investigations.
• Oversee leave administration (FMLA, parental, medical) and ensure multi-state/local legal compliance.
• Design and manage the end-to-end onboarding program and partner with Ops for offboarding.
• Administer benefits, manage vendor relationships, and oversee the 401k plan.
• Maintain HRIS records and develop career pathways, pay bands, and organizational structures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of HR generalist or HR business partner experience.
• Experience scaling teams past 50 employees in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Deep knowledge of US employment law and multi-state compliance.
• Proven track record in handling employee relations and conflict resolution.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and strong organizational skills.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Somerville, MA.

Nice to have

• SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification.
