Salary: $170,000–$260,000

What you will do
- Own the company-wide talent plan and personally execute full-cycle recruiting for technical, clinical, and executive roles.
- Build and manage People infrastructure, including payroll, benefits, HRIS, compliance, and performance management systems.
- Design and execute the onboarding, relocation, and employee experience strategy for an in-person culture.
- Coach founders and managers on talent density, performance feedback, and organizational design.
- Manage sensitive employee relations, immigration, and legal compliance matters with discretion.
- Leverage AI and automation to streamline administrative workflows and improve People analytics.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in recruiting, talent leadership, or People Operations at high-growth technology companies.
- Proven track record as an early or senior-most People hire in a venture-backed startup scaling from 25–150+ employees.
- Hands-on expertise in full-cycle recruiting, compensation design, and People Ops infrastructure.
- Strong working knowledge of California and multi-state employment law and compliance.
- Ability to work on-site in San Francisco with a high-urgency, player-coach mindset.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build trust with founders and employees.
Nice to have
- Experience in healthcare, regulated technology, or clinician recruiting.
- Background in managing mixed employee/contractor workforces and complex immigration cases.
- Experience with tools like Ashby, Rippling, Gusto, and Carta.
