TL;DR

Data Product Manager (Analytical Data Products): Owning the strategy, roadmap, and execution for a portfolio of analytical data products with an accent on client partnership and modern data platform scalability. Focus on translating complex business challenges into scalable analytical solutions and managing the end-to-end product lifecycle.

Location: Hybrid (Toronto, Ontario) - 3 days per week in office

Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 CAD

What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of analytical data products, from discovery and roadmap planning to delivery and adoption.
  • Define product vision and priorities aligned with client business objectives and organizational strategy.
  • Lead discovery workshops, requirements gathering, and solution scoping as the primary client-facing product lead.
  • Partner with Engineering, Analytics, and Architecture teams to deliver scalable, reusable data products.
  • Manage product backlogs and lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and release planning.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, and Security teams to ensure regulatory and governance compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business, or Engineering.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in Product Management, Data Product Management, or Analytics.
  • Advanced SQL skills for analyzing datasets and validating business hypotheses.
  • Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, ClickHouse, or Databricks.
  • Must be based in Toronto, Ontario for hybrid work (3 days/week in office).
  • Knowledge of data governance, semantic layer concepts, and FAIR principles.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Data Science, or Business.
  • Industry experience in Pharma, Biotechnology, Financial Services, or CPG.
  • Familiarity with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and Digital Marketing Analytics.
  • Experience using product usage metrics to prioritize roadmap investments.
