What you will do

  • Manage a portfolio of 7–12 banking and financial services accounts to actively increase BT’s presence and wallet share.
  • Oversee forecasts, revenues, and P&L for assigned accounts, ensuring all commercial targets are met.
  • Identify and execute "hunting" strategies to uncover new opportunities within the existing customer base.
  • Collaborate with solution specialists to design tailored connectivity, security, and infrastructure solutions.
  • Develop multi-million-pound transformation programmes involving cloud connectivity and network services.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of financial services regulations (e.g., FCA, PRA) to ensure solution compliance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in account management or B2B sales, preferably with corporate or regulated industry customers.
  • Knowledge of network architecture, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability in solution selling focused on customer outcomes rather than individual products.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including revenue management and P&L ownership.
  • Ability to engage credibly with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.

Nice to have

  • Experience managing large, complex bids or contracts with extended sales cycles.
  • Ability to use data and insights to shape account strategy and commercial narratives.
  • Experience working across geographically virtual teams to deliver commercial outcomes.
