Construction Manager, Office Interiors

What you will do

• Plan and coordinate budgeting, design, bidding, buyout, construction, and close-out for office interior finish-out and capital improvement projects.
• Develop project scopes, cost estimates, construction documents, schedules, and sequencing with architects, owners, tenants, engineers, and contractors.
• Solicit and evaluate bids, prepare bid instructions and forms, perform takeoffs, and lead pre-bid and bid meetings.
• Lead progress meetings, coordinate vendors, manage change requests and change orders, and oversee pay application verification and lien waivers.
• Communicate project status, risks, requirements, and expectations to clients, tenants, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Build relationships with owners, design teams, contractors, suppliers, and business development prospects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
• 3–7 years of related construction experience preferred, including construction or construction project management experience.
• Ability to read construction drawings, interpret missing information, and understand construction materials, methods, and sequencing.
• Experience leading consultants and contractors through pricing and construction phases.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, identify pricing risks, and interact professionally with owners, brokers, architects, engineers, contractors, and tenants.
• Proficiency with computer hardware and software, including PCs, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project; willingness to visit jobsites and meet clients is required.
