What you will do

• Lead day-to-day delivery of state and local mitigation programs and provide strategic guidance to leadership.
• Write and oversee FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance grant applications and manage project lifecycles.
• Conduct open-source policy research and data analysis to support long-term recovery and resilience strategies.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for FEMA HMA programs and advise private and public sector clients.
• Lead internal project teams in technical work including benefit-cost analysis and hazard mitigation plan reviews.
• Support business development activities including proposal writing and marketing support.

Requirements

• Must have permanent work authorization in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship provided).
• Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Public/Environmental Policy, Economics, or a similar field.
• 8+ years of experience in research, data analysis, grant management, and product development.
• 5+ years of experience implementing FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance grants.
• Must be able and willing to travel (flight and vehicle) for work as needed.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and pass a Motor Vehicle Records check.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Planning, Public/Environmental Policy, or Economics.
• Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification.
• Experience with natural hazard resilience concepts and risk assessments.
• Experience supporting recipients with HMGP, FMA, BRIC, or HUD mitigation programs.
