Location: Must be based in the U.S. (Preference for Miami and Fort Lauderdale, FL).
Salary: $98,000–$120,000.

What you will do
- Lead day-to-day delivery of state and local mitigation programs and provide strategic guidance to leadership.
- Write and oversee FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance grant applications and manage project lifecycles.
- Conduct open-source policy research and data analysis to support long-term recovery and resilience strategies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for FEMA HMA programs and advise private and public sector clients.
- Lead internal project teams in technical work including benefit-cost analysis and hazard mitigation plan reviews.
- Support business development activities including proposal writing and marketing support.
Requirements
- Must have permanent work authorization in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship provided).
- Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Public/Environmental Policy, Economics, or a similar field.
- 8+ years of experience in research, data analysis, grant management, and product development.
- 5+ years of experience implementing FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance grants.
- Must be able and willing to travel (flight and vehicle) for work as needed.
- Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and pass a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Planning, Public/Environmental Policy, or Economics.
- Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification.
- Experience with natural hazard resilience concepts and risk assessments.
- Experience supporting recipients with HMGP, FMA, BRIC, or HUD mitigation programs.
