Location: Remote, with listed work locations in Bellevue, Washington; Chicago, Illinois; New York, New York; San Francisco, California; and Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Travel to customer sites is required approximately 25% of the time.
Salary: $176,000–$242,000 USD annual OTE for candidates in California excluding the San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington. Additional ranges listed are $157,000–$215,600 USD and $157,900–$207,500 CAD, depending on location.

What you will do
- Deliver hands-on post-sales consulting, technical design, configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting for Okta customers.
- Gather, analyze, and document requirements while managing scope, schedules, status, and documentation across multiple concurrent deployments.
- Design identity federation and access control solutions using SAML, WS-Federation, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
- Integrate Okta with cloud and enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Box, Office 365, Workday, and HR identity sources.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Support, Product Management, customers, and partners to resolve escalations and improve customer outcomes.
- Mentor customers and less experienced team members while improving delivery processes, standards, and reusable methodologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a technical consultant delivering solutions to external customers.
- Software development experience with Java, Ruby, .NET, PHP, REST, or JSON, plus JavaScript and a major JavaScript MVC framework.
- Knowledge of cloud architectures, complex enterprise on-premise environments, and identity lifecycle management.
- Ability to manage multiple customer engagements independently and contribute hands-on to technical solutions.
- Strong communication, issue-triage, crisis-management, planning, analysis, and process-improvement skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Nice to have
- API management experience with Mulesoft, Axway, or Apigee.
- Experience designing security and identity management solutions for critical systems.
- Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, and identity federation protocols.
- Experience using AI tools such as Gemini, Claude, or ChatGPT.
