Salary: $50,000 – $58,000 (annualized, prorated)

What you will do

• Develop a working proof-of-concept to automate the preparation of external financial statements.
• Identify manual, repeatable accounting workflows and prototype AI-driven solutions to streamline them.
• Act as the translator between Accounting and IT/Engineering, converting business needs into technical specifications.
• Own User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by reconciling output against existing processes and validating against live data.
• Assist with core finance activities, including month-end close and financial reporting.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Vancouver, BC (Onsite)
• Strong foundational knowledge of accounting and finance, including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow.
• Technical aptitude for connecting systems, working with data, and using version control (Git/GitHub).
• Genuine interest in AI and automation with a controls-first mindset (audit trails and reconciliations).
• Availability for the internship period from September to December 2026

Nice to have

• Exposure to NetSuite or other ERP systems.
• Experience with financial-statement preparation.
• Previous experience building database-driven systems or system integrations.
