What you will do

• Own end-to-end payroll processing for US and UK employee populations.
• Ensure full compliance with US federal, state, local tax requirements and UK HMRC regulations.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for payroll discrepancies, audits, and employee inquiries.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability of payroll operations.
• Maintain internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit readiness for both countries.
• Stay current on and implement evolving payroll legislation in the US and UK.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience leading global payroll operations, preferably in high-growth environments.
• Direct experience managing both US and UK payroll cycles.
• Expert knowledge of US multi-state tax withholding, wage and hour laws, and garnishments.
• Expert understanding of UK statutory compliance including PAYE, NIC, and HMRC reporting.
• Hands-on experience with Workday; ADP Workforce Now and CloudPay experience preferred.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills for reconciliations and auditing.
