What you will do

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain semiconductor process tools, including tool bring-up and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain vacuum integrity for process modules and diagnose leaks or pump failures.
• Analyze process and equipment data using Python, MATLAB, or JMP to identify trends and anomalies.
• Conduct structured experimentation (DOE) to validate process changes and optimize system parameters.
• Integrate optical, mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Contribute to manufacturing ramp and yield improvement through hands-on technical experimentation.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Milpitas, CA.
• PhD in Engineering or Physical Sciences, OR Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, OR Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience with semiconductor process tools and vacuum systems.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods (SPC, DOE) for process improvement.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills and the ability to document technical findings.

Nice to have

• PhD with 2+ years of relevant experience or Master's with 4+ years.
• Familiarity with requirements management and model-based engineering tools.
• Experience supporting manufacturing ramp and yield improvement.
