CMM Programmer - 2nd Shift (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY; second shift.

Salary: $32.00–$42.00 per hour, plus a 10% second-shift differential.

What you will do

• Prepare electronic code and detailed inspection instructions for numerical-controlled inspection equipment.
• Develop CMM programs at the CMM and offline at computer-aided inspection stations.
• Verify compatibility between engineering drawings, design data, fabrication methods, and CMM capabilities.
• Resolve compatibility issues between CAI systems and CAD-generated design data.
• Support Manufacturing Engineering with measurement-system and manufacturing-process problems.
• Train machinists, quality auditors, and technicians on CMM operation.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent technical education.
• At least five years of manufacturing inspection experience.
• At least three years of CMM inspection and programming experience.
• Above-average knowledge of GD&T and geometric and traditional tolerancing.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication, and measurement processes; CAD solid-modeling experience may be required.
• The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

• Experience with Zeiss Calypso and PolyWorks.
