What you will do
- Design and build scalable web, software, and mobile applications, including prototypes and POCs.
- Drive requirements gathering, technical design, project planning, and testing strategies.
- Contribute 50–60% of your time to writing high-quality, performant, and scalable code.
- Mentor engineers and provide architectural guidance to solve complex technical problems.
- Collaborate with product, QA, and business units to align on vision and deliver impactful outcomes.
- Champion best practices in accessibility, internationalization, and instrumentation.
Requirements
- Must be based in New York, New York.
- 8+ years of experience delivering enterprise-class web applications.
- Proficiency in React and JavaScript (Redux, React-Native) in a single-page architecture.
- 7+ years of experience with Object-Oriented languages such as Java/J2EE, Python, or C++.
- Solid knowledge of algorithms, design patterns, and relational database design.
- Strong leadership experience in mentoring junior developers and leading cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in using AI tools for code generation (e.g., Windsurf, Cursor, Augment).
- Experience with test automation including TDD, unit, integration, and functional testing.
- Passion for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
