Software Engineer

Location: San Francisco, California, United States. Hybrid schedule with at least 2 days in the office and 3 days remote each week; preferably based in San Francisco or willing to relocate.

Salary: $96,000–$169,000 annual base salary, excluding applicable bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain complex full-stack systems and scalable platform services.
• Design, build, and maintain APIs and internal engineering standards and frameworks.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and non-technical stakeholders to develop and ship features.
• Identify and resolve performance issues across high-scale web applications.
• Participate in code reviews and communicate engineering best practices.
• Write engineering requirements documents and technical specifications.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Full-stack experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, or Python, plus frontend experience with HTML, CSS, and React.
• Experience with design patterns, code reviews, unit and integration testing, security, and common attacks and defenses.
• Experience building complex architecture and backend systems for large-scale web applications, distributed systems, infrastructure, logging, and monitoring.
• Knowledge of APIs, performance optimization, Core Web Vitals, responsive mobile-first styling, and build systems such as Webpack.
• Experience with A/B testing or feature flag platforms and third-party lifecycle communication tools such as Iterable, Twilio, Salesforce, or Regal.
